You'll get invited to our Meetups as soon as they're scheduled!
Please join us on November 14th for an evening of networking, mentor introductions, and discussion of current events in the philanthropic marketplace.
We are fortunate to have two generous co-sponsors, NYU's Heyman Center for Fundraising and Philanthropy and Future Leaders in Philanthropy (www.flip.onphilanthropy.com). Both organizations are notable for their significant contributions to the education and career development of the new generation of fundraising and grantmaking professionals.
This event will feature guest speaker Sharna Goldseker, VP of the Andrea and Charles Bronfman Philanthropies (ACBP). Sharna currently serves as Director of 21/64 (www.2164.net) which focuses multi-generational strategic philanthropy. Sharna brings her expertise on the growing role of young philanthropists play in the nonprofit community.
In addition, a number of special guest "mentors" from higher education, city government, and global strategic planning have been invited to attend the event and to share their unique perspectives on the rapidly evolving Third Sector. Specifically, we welcome the participation of Teresa Vasquez of the NYC Economic Development Corp., Steve Sagner of NYU's Steinhardt School of Education, and Carolyn Cavicchio of the Conference Board. The format will include a 10-15 minute presentation by Ms. Goldseker; the remainder of the evening will be dedicated to informal networking with our special guests and other attendees.
There is no cost for this event, but we do encourage you to respond ASAP as space is limited. Additional questions can be directed to the Organizers of this Meetup by emailing lazsbg@gmail.com.
We look forward to seeing all of you on November 14 and encourage you to arrive early.
