- Allow me this moment to introduce myself. I am Brian Bachand and began a new position as Director of Distinguished Events for the American Cancer Society. My position handels the American Cancer Society's high end events. In addition, my role is also

- Why do you want to participate in the NYC Professional Fundraiser and Grantmaker Meetup, and what event format would be most desirable?

I am based out of the White Plains office. However, American Cancer Society has a large Manhattan base and I go between both. Hence, the connections between Westchester and Manhattan are beneficial. I would prefer an evening event but am flexible...food always a plus!
- What is the most interesting aspect of working in the nonprofit sector?

Truly, the mission of the American Cancer Society. I find everyone has been touched by cancer. I am gratified to promote an organization with value and meaning each day.
- If you started a new business, what would it be?

I would focus on communication. Namely, helping those in non-profit better tell their "story" to the greater community.
