Malkutha and SocialChord

I have two companies:

Malkutha - which is a web software consulting company. We primarily focus on the application of social and collaborative technologies for the business world. We are small (3 people) and outsource a great deal. We provide value by optimizing business processes, architecting the technical solution and managing a high quality implementation for SMB customers.

SocialChord - is a web social networking start-up with a different approach. The mission of SocialChord is to link together civic communities with social movements to bring more effective dialogue to the democratic process. We are in development having raised some angel money last year and we are currently working on another round of financing. Over the course of the spring and summer will be launching networks for several large towns in the NY and DC metro areas, a community of independent journalists, a community of Latino families, a community of digital artists and a community of baby boomer life coaches.

Both of my businesses satisfy my desire for innovation and for social change. I rely heavily on partnerships, as I believe they accelerate time to market and enable me to do more than I could ever imagine doing on my own. Time to market is everything for me in the new technology game. I believe in candid discussions about what is possible and what is holding us back, and I look forward to having those discussions with members of this group.
